Simple Beef and Onion Kebabs

Weekends are a great time to enjoy food with loved ones. Just because the festive season has come and gone, it doesn’t mean that time for enjoying food is over. We bond over food, cry over food, unite and laugh over food etc.,  below is a simple yet tasty recipe that easy to make but tasty.

This recipe serves 4


800g rump steak

20 baby onions, peeled

8 wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes


100ml tomato sauce

45ml sweet chilli sauce

100ml honey

125ml lemon juice

15ml Worcestershire sauce

15ml chopped fresh marjoram

15ml fresh parsley

5ml chopped fresh ginger


  1. Cut the meat into 3cm pieces.
  2. Thread meat alternately with the baby onions into the skewers and place in a shallow dish.
  3. Combine all the marinade ingredients and pour over kebabs. Place these in the fridge overnight.
  4. Drain off the excess marinade and cook the kebabs in the oven or over hot coals until cooked to your liking.
  5. Serve & enjoy.
